Brief

We have been working with SCL for a few years now and we have really enjoyed watching their brand evolve along with their business. Initially, we were asked to give SCL a ‘light touch’ brand re-fresh, still working with their existing logo but giving their marketing collateral a definitive new style with a more professional and sophisticated edge. We initially created new sales tools to advertise their Level 2 training course and subsequently their Level 3 tools in a consistent but noticeably different style. Most recently we have been commissioned to design the prospectus for their brand new two-year Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching and Physical Education.

Solution

Working with a naturally information heavy brief, we worked to frame and highlight important messages but also ensure consistency with their definitive brand style to make sure it was easily recognisable as ‘SCL’ but also so that it would stand out from the crowd in today’s competitive university market. The 20-page prospectus is a careful balance between presenting course information, photography, graphs and engaging quotes to quickly and easily sell the benefits of the programme to potential students, without overloading the senses! We enjoyed this project in particular – it’s always a challenge to achieve that fine balance and we’re pleased to have been a part of launching the brand new SCL venture.
